Our Future Scouter

My dad may have created a Scouting monster.  Nearly every time we head over to my parent's house Myles is hunting my dad down to "play Scouts".  And boy does he take it all seriously.  The sheet covered tent has to be field with the Scouting essentials:   books, badges, old scout pictures, fire, and a horn.

Here is the scouter in action!

Best Scouting buddies!

At the end of the night Myles didn't want anyone to touch his tent or Scout stuff.  Pretty sure this sign was a don't touch message.

We are all looking forward to more "play Scouts" in the near future!

Settling In

We are officially settled into our apartment here in the San Francisco area.  We are loving it here; the people, weather, and sites.  Much to come from our short 6 weeks here.  In the mean time I want to do a little wrap up from the last couple of months in Utah.

My Visit To San Francisco

A few weeks ago I flew out to San Francisco.  The goal was to find a school district, city, and apartment we wanted to live in and get the kids enrolled for school.  It was a success and we also squeezed in a bit of fun towards the end of my stay.

Matt has been staying at the Ritz Carlton.  The hotel sits right off of the ocean.  It is absolutely stunning!  Every morning we would spend breakfast looking out this window.

After breakfast we spent the rest of our days driving from one city to the other.  We had to get out and stop every once and a while and enjoy our surroundings with all of the bridges and water around us.

The views all around us were awesome.

We headed to Golden Gate Park this morning for a nice walk around.

When I saw this purple house I had to get a picture of it.  I kept thinking of Olivia and how she loves the color purple.  What a great assortment of colored houses there.  Such character.

Next destination was to the Golden Gate Bridge.  At this point I was quite surprised by how cold and windy it was.  I may have been questioning our move at this point!

We next drove to Pier 39 to grab a bite to eat.  On our way over to the restaurant I got a phone call from Olivia wanting to say goodnight.  Love that baby girl!

Dinner was amazing!  Obviously the view was great once again and the crab legs couldn't have been better!

California here we come!
