Here are some random happenings shortly before leaving Utah:

Spending an evening with mom and Matt and Laurie's family at Thanksgiving point for their annual Tulip Festival.

Wedding Weekend!

On April 27th my most adorable little sister got married.  Gosh, I love her.  And she is quite stunning here on her wedding day!

The entire weekend was so great to be with family and getting ready for the big day.  That and she married a heck of a guy.  We all love and adore him!

The night before the wedding Matt flew in for a couple of days.  The kids were crazy excited about seeing him.  When I went to pick Matt up at the side of the curb Myles jumped out of the car as fast as he could and Olivia was going crazy wanting to get out of her seat belt.  The morning of the wedding we headed up Provo Canyon for a hike.  Myles is still pretty serious about finding bugs and ended up playing in the dirt most of the time.  Today he found a worm.

After spending the morning together we headed up north for the wedding.  It was such a wonderful day.  The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was awesome.  

It doesn't get better than donuts and chocolate milk for dessert.  

Towards the end of the evening I was caught quite off guard.  After Meagan and Kevin's honeymoon they were heading straight to Wisconsin for a summer job.  Meagan and I didn't realize that night would be the last time we would see each other until who knows how long, as we would be moving to San Francisco before they got back home.  I was an emotional mess.  I just wasn't prepared for a long term goodbye.

We sure do miss Meagan and Kevin and can't wait to see them again!  We can't wait to see all these silly kids too!

1st Day of School 2013

It was a big week for us, so it is time for a current update.  Both Myles and Olivia started school this past week.  Myles, Kindergarten and Olivia, preschool.  Kind of a big deal over here!
 

 

 Myles' favorite color is red.

Olivia's favorite color is purple.

 

 

For the first day of kindergarten they invite the parent's to come to class with their child.  Luckily, Matt was able to stick around for the morning and take Olivia to preschool.  Myles and I stuck around to wish Olivia good luck and say our goodbyes!





And just like that, she is off to school.

Myles' teacher read The Kissing Hand to the children and got to do their first art project.  His teacher is very sweet and great with the kids.  I loved being able to with Myles that first day and seeing his new environment.

When the kids got home they were greeted with a sweet note from Matt.

The second day of school seemed a little more official.  Olivia road the bus and Myles went to class by himself.  He we are waiting on the curb for the bus.





Olivia did awesome getting on the bus and buckling up.  Unfortunately, as soon as she realized I was outside waving to her goodbye all I could hear was the saddest little voice saying "moooom, moooom."  Tough stuff.  Myles asked me as we were walking away if there would be someone sitting by her to help her not cry.  I told him I hope so, knowing that there wouldn't be.

On our walk home Myles asked me if I was lonely at home all by myself.  I told him I was.  He then proceeded to ask if it was quiet and how quiet.  Definitely way too quiet.  I miss my kids already.
